Code of Conduct and Ethics

Introduction

Real Marine & Offshore (RMO) believes it essential that all collaborators understand and comply with these rules of conduct and ethics. Therefore, RMO has adopted this Code of Conduct and Ethics to guide all collaborators in carrying out their professional activities regardless of their designation, responsibilities, and activities with the highest standards of personal honestly, respect, and integrity when dealing with clients, other employees, competitors, partners, subcontracts, suppliers, governmental agencies, and, in general, with the community.

All collaborators:

    • Comply with the code of ethical conduct in their daily professional activities Regardless of their position and task;
    • Act with honesty, focusing on integrity and respecting people;
    • Understand the risks of your role and how to manage them;
    • Seek advice from leaders when unsure of something;
    • Report any suspected violation of the code;
    • Comply with the laws, rules, and procedures of RMO and customers, suppliers, partners, and government agencies;
    • Respect colleagues in the work environment;
    • Be aware of the value of diversity and not discriminate against race, color, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, disability, ethnicity, or nationality;
    • Contribute continuously to reduce the environmental impact and the occupational health and safety consequences of RMO’s operations and services, applying the control measures adopted by RMO;
    • Contribute to minimize or prevent strategic risks and operational risks, applying the internal controls adopted by RMO.

Senior Management and Leaders:

    • Ensure that any and all employees and subcontractors you lead are aware that they must respect the Code of Conduct and Ethics and that they must act appropriately;
    • Create an excellent working environment and protect RMO’s reputation among employees, subcontracts, customers, suppliers, partners, and government agencies. 

RMO interactions with customers, suppliers, partners, and government agencies:

    • Build transparent and harmonized relationships based on trust;
    • To curb corrupt behavior and illegal practices;
    • Avoid and continually identify the existence of a potential conflict of interest;
    • Commit to transparent communication in any investigation or inspection processes carried out by public bodies, entities, or agents.
    • To influence the importance of sustainability and environmental preservation;
    • Preventing from financing, funding, sponsoring, or, in any way, subsidizing the practice of illegal acts;
    • Repudiate any and all forms of fraud and corruption, including bribery, money laundering, or insider trading;
    • Consult the person in charge of the company before accepting an award obtained during the exercise of their function in the work environment;
    • Implement actions to guarantee to respect the human rights. 

Review

RMO Marine will regularly review the Code of Conduct and Ethics to ensure that the company’s businesses are carried out with integrity, ethically, and adequately, safeguarding the company’s interests and maintaining a harmonious and ethical work environment for all collaborators.
